DTH operator Tata Sky on 29th February implemented NTO 2.0 and reduced it’s Network Capacity Fee for both primary and secondary connections. The steep reduction was seen in NCF of secondary connection which got reduced to Rs 50 from Rs 150, this, of course, benefited customers but it was a decline in profit of Tata Sky so on Wednesday the company increased new connection and Multi-TV prices for both SD and HD boxes.

Earlier, Tata Sky was giving new SD and HD connections were priced at Rs 1,303, now the DTH operator has increased this cost to Rs 1,303/- with a 7.2% hike of Rs 100. Similarly, Multi-TV connection prices are also raised. Price for secondary SD connection is increased from Rs 1,299 to Rs 1,399 and HD secondary connection price is hiked from Rs 999 to Rs 1,199. These latest prices are effective from March 4th 2020 and live on Tata Sky website.

Currently, Airtel Digital TV offers cheapest new connections, ADTV SD box cost Rs 1,100 while their HD box is priced at Rs 1,300. Dish TV charges Rs 1,490 for DishNXT Rs 1,590 for DishNXT HD box while d2h, on the other hand, costs Rs 1,599 for SD and Rs 1,799 for HD connections. Sun Direct is costliest among all other DTH operators, they charge Rs 1,799 for SD box and Rs 1,999 for HD box.
